No New Thought in New Thought
New thought is founded in ancient wisdom. From Socrates to Aristotle, from Plato to Emerson, from the Fillmores to Holmes and Brooks and Cady—the message is the same. The divine is within us. Thought shapes reality. Love heals. We are not victims of fate, but co-creators with Spirit. If Socrates is right, then we must examine our lives.
If Aristotle is right, then our happiness depends upon us.
If the Fillmores and Emilie Cady are right, then we must take responsibility for the creative power of our own thoughts.
The healing of the soul of humanity will not come by accident. It will not come from one leader or one savior. It will come when each of us awakens and chooses to live this truth.
- To practice compassion when judgment seems easier.
- To forgive when resentment feels justified.
- To choose love again and again, even when fear shouts loudly.
- To affirm, with Cady, “The truth is, you are Spirit now.”
