“Creating A Marvelous Life”
There is a practice you can follow that is sure to make your life work. This is the practice of “marveling” which comes about when you are alive with wonder, amazement, astonishment, and curiosity toward your life, your experiences and the world around you.
There is scriptural precedence for marveling that came about when Jesus sent his disciples out (Mt10) to visit surrounding towns and to “proclaim the good news.” This was after Jesus began his ministry as described in the Sermon on the Mount. After this, Jesus cleansed a leper, healed the Centurion’s slave, cast out demons, calmed the storm, healed a paralyzed man, brought a woman back to life, – and more. Jesus told the disciples to proclaim this Good News from the housetops.
Jesus knew something vital that each of us need know. When we marvel over aspects of life, these areas actually expand. So, when Jesus was sending out his disciples, he was telling them to marvel at the events they had witnessed, and thereby to become active agents of transformation.
Jesus understood better than anyone the Unity teaching that, “Thoughts held in mind produce in the outer after their kind.” In other words, what we think about all day long tends to become our experience. Partly this is so because our willingness to receive expands. So, as we marvel over healing, we become more open and receptive to healing as a natural part of our life experience. As we marvel over financial or career success, we open ourselves to knowing that this is available for each one of us.
However, there is another ingredient that is a key. We must provide feeling energy to support our thinking. We must put passion into the mix. Some persons go through life with a passive, mechanical approach. But this leaves out the sparkle, the energy, the sizzle of passion that is essential to attract good things and experiences to you. Marveling on a regular basis is the way to stimulate positive action into your life.
In order to marvel, it is healthy to focus first on what naturally captures your attention: The memory of a newborn child; a sunrise that stirs your soul; the beauty of a flower unfolding; the thrill of someone you love taking your hand; a skyline of colors at the end of a day.
The Truth is this. Your reasons to marvel are everywhere around you and within you. To marvel requires only your willingness to do so. You can begin the practice of allowing yourself to see the good in life – even in the midst of that which may seem ugly or hurtful. Because when you do, you are opening the door to rich blessings in your life and for the world.

Join us any Wednesday evening for a program of a variety of events, or guided meditation and other events.
Wednesday evenings are a wonderful opportunity to connect with one another while enjoying a variety of events.
