Unity’s Statement of Faith
Unity’s Statement of Faith may or not be true or resonant with some of us. What are your actual convictions?
Faith is not about rigid belief, but about direct experience, practical application, and compassionate living.
How much of this statement of faith is true for you? Why, Why not?
- One Presence, One Power: God, Spirit, Divine Love—expressing through all creation.
- The Sacredness of Every Being: Each person is inherently whole, worthy, and capable of awakening to their divine nature.
- The Power of Mind and Heart: Thoughts, feelings, and choices shape our reality, and we are free to release what no longer serves and to embody what heals and uplifts.
- Radical Acceptance and Forgiveness: Life brings joys and sorrows, ease and difficulty. My path is to embrace it all, surrender resistance, and practice compassion for myself and others.
- Personal Responsibility: I am accountable for my own spiritual growth, my own healing, and my own contribution to the well-being of the world. Prayer, meditation and purification are ways to practice.
- Community and Connection: We are not separate. Together we create beloved community by practicing generosity, kindness, truth-telling, and service.
- Continuous Awakening: Faith is a living practice. Every day offers an invitation to grow, to let go, to love more deeply, and to remember who we truly are.
I give thanks for a faith that moves us beyond fear into freedom, beyond judgment into compassion, and beyond separation into oneness.
Join us this Sunday with Rev Martha as we revisit these core foundational principles in a fresh way.
