Lent for Every Day Living

Today we talk about Lent—not as a rulebook, not as a guilt-trip, not as something only for one branch of Christianity, but as a sacred opportunity for transformation that belongs to everyone. Lent as Everyday Living includes:

Letting Go. Charles Fillmore wrote: “We give up error thought so that Truth may take its rightful place.”

Taking On. Myrtle Fillmore healed her body through daily spiritual practice. She did not just give up illness thinking—she took on affirmations, prayer, and gratitude.

Returning to Love. Lent prepares us for Easter—the resurrection of love in our lives. Resurrection happens every day. Every time we say:
I forgive you
I forgive myself
I begin again

As Richard Rohr often teaches, spiritual life is about falling down and getting up again with mercy. Lent is not perfection. Lent is practice.
