The Sacred Bridge: Emotional Intelligence as a Path to Spiritual Maturity
We explore a sacred bridge—the bridge between our emotional lives and our spiritual unfolding. We often talk about spiritual maturity, living from our Christ nature, radiating love, compassion, and peace. But how do we get there? One essential part of that path is emotional maturity, grounded in emotional intelligence and spiritual practices.
Emotional intelligence, or EQ, isn’t just a psychological idea—it’s deeply spiritual. It helps us move from reactivity to response, from unconscious patterns to divine awareness. It is not separate from our faith journey—it is the soil in which spiritual maturity grows.
Psalm 139 says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Even the psalmist knew the power of turning inward, of being present to the emotional landscape.
Join us this Sunday with Rev Martha Creek to hear more about moving from unconscious patterns to divine awareness.
