The Enneagram: A Spiritual Companion for Awakening
We explore a spiritual map that has served seekers for centuries: the Enneagram—an ancient system that, as Richard Rohr describes, is “not about putting you in a box. It’s about showing you the box you’re already in—and how to get out of it.”
The Enneagram doesn’t ask, Who am I? but rather, Who am I before I forgot who I am?
It guides us not only in understanding ourselves but in returning to the divine essence from which we came. Held as a spiritual companion, it becomes a mirror— of shadow and of soul. “The Enneagram is about people’s transformations. It doesn’t tell you what you do; it tells you why you do it.”
From A Christian Perspective:
“The goal of the Enneagram is not self-improvement… it is radical self-knowledge and surrender to grace.” This isn’t about polishing our personality—it’s about dissolving the illusion that our personality is who we are. It becomes a tool of awakening when it exposes the habits of mind, emotion, and behavior that keep us from living in union with God, with love, and with truth.
Join us this Sunday with Rev Martha Creek as she shares this unique and practical approach to helping us cultivate a lifestyle of reflection and continual expansion.
