Growing Up with Grace: Light-Hearted Lessons in Spiritual Maturity
Spiritual and emotional maturity doesn’t have to be heavy or serious to be transformational. In this joyful and down-to-earth talk, we’ll explore 30 practical, compassionate, and often humorous ways to grow in grace, live with presence, and love ourselves and others more deeply. Through gentle practices rooted in self-compassion and spiritual wisdom, we’ll discover how lightening up can actually help us grow up—spiritually speaking.
Scriptures:
- Proverbs 17:22 (NIV):“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”→ Reminds us that joy, laughter, and light-heartedness are sacred tools for healing and maturity.
- Colossians 3:12 (NRSV):“As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.”→ A beautiful call to grow emotionally and spiritually by embodying the essence of love and grace.
Join us this Sunday with Rev Martha Creek as she shares thought provoking simple practices. Through subtle shifts in how we frame words and thoughts, we can cultivate a light-hearted dance through life.
