New Lessons in Truth

Unity’s classic text “Lessons in Truth” provides practical tools for spiritual growth, including the understanding of our divine nature, the transformative power of thought, and the faith that anchors us in divine truth.

We must emphasize the simplicity and power of applying these teachings to everyday life through prayer, meditation, affirmations, and mindfulness in order to benefit from them. We are responsible for affirming our divine identity and aligning with the infinite good of God, in order to experience this as Reality.

Marianne Williamson (A Return to Love) says it this way: “God is the love within us.”
• This reflects Cady’s teaching that God is not external but the essence of all being.

Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now) says it this way: “You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop.”
• Like Cady, Tolle emphasizes the eternal nature of our essence beyond what we think.

Joe Dispenza (Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself): “You are a creator of your world, and every thought creates your future.”
• Dispenza’s neuroscience-based approach parallels the metaphysical teaching on the creative power of thought.
